Attorney Stacy Allen was on the do-not-call list and got several hangup calls from 714-692-6900 -- the number for Homeowners' Friend. She spoke to the manager Joseph Hendricksen who promptly accused her of extortion.

During subsequent communications, Hendrickson provided the (800) 400-4046 ext 106 as a call back number.

"15. On or about January 7, 2005, Allen received a call from someone who identified herself as Amanda Smith, a paralegal for Dana Capital. In the conversation, Smith acknowledged that she had “had some problems with Hendricksen” on which she did not elaborate. Allen conveyed her demand for a global settlement, which included a contribution from Hendricksen for his abusive conduct.

16. On January 10, 2005, an attorney by the name of Daniel Nassie who said he represented Dana Capital. Allen discussed her claims, and requested that he convey the demand to his client. The following day, Nassie called back and reiterated an offer that did not include Hendricksen. Allen declined the offer."

Allen's claims include TCPA, libel and slander (the extortion accusation).
